General Info

This section should provide all the necessary information to get you to High Definition hassle free. If you are unable to find an answer to your query, please get in touch- enquiries@highdefinitionfestival.co.uk.

High Definition operates a stringent search policy for the safety of our staff and attendees. Police and security will be conducting searches on the gate and around the festival for any illegal or illicit items. Anybody found to be engaging in illegal or offensive activity will be removed from the site.

It is a condition of our license that you agree to have your self and you possessions searched by security or the police. Do not attempt to bring illegal substances on to the festival site, as you will be refused entry and reported to the police.

Therefore please DO NOT bring the following:

  • Offensive weapons or anything that may be considered to be a weapon.
  • No fireworks, flares, laser pens or laser equipment will be allowed on site.
  • With the exception of Guide Dogs, no animals are allowed on site.
  • No legal highs will be allowed on site

2014 will see revamped toilet facilities at HD. There are ample toilet facilities around the festival site, which are cleaned at regular intervals throughout the day. Please be considerate and do others the courtesy of keeping them clean and tidy.

There are plenty of bins provided, which are emptied during the course of the event. Please utilize them and leave the festival site as you found it.

Leave your valuables at home if you do not absolutely need them. Keep your money, phone and other valuables on you at all times. If you suspect you may have had something stolen please check at the Welfare tent before reporting a theft to the police as it may have been handed in. Familiarize yourself with the emergency exits and follow all instructions given by security and the police. Move away from any dangerous or antisocial behavior and report it to security immediately unless they are already attending to it.

Due to licensing restrictions you are not permitted to bring you own food and drink into the event, unless you have specific dietary requirements backed up by a doctor’s note.

All tented structures have a set capacity that, by law, we cannot exceed. If there is a particularly popular artist you want to see, be sure to arrive with plenty of time before they are due to start. The arena admission policy is operated with your safety in mind. If you are unable to access a particular arena then we suggest enjoying an alternate act.

Fire, ambulance and police services will be on-site throughout the day to deal with any problems. If you witness any dangerous, illegal or antisocial activity remove yourself from the area and report it to security or the police patrolling the festival.
